It’s so funny how the world turns out to be. It’s true that once you close the door, hundreds of new doors open; and not to mention the OLD DOOR opens up once more. It is not my nature to kiss-and-tell and neither will I disclose explicitly. All I wanna share is the essence of living up to the life although at one point of time, you may feel like you are plunged deep into the abyss.

Honestly, I have to say I am in the state where it feels great and I am grateful for everything. And to add the icing of the cake is that, someone seemed to ‘lick the spit’; crawling and trying to re-patch things up. It was something back then but not anymore. What was there is gone. Forgive is alright, forget? I ain’t never gonna do that! Revenge is so saccharine sweet. Now you know I am a person with so much vengeance in me.
Like what is written in my Facebook profile: “I treasure people who appreciate me. I take revenge to people who fuck wit me. A subtle knife that is.”

The pictures were sent by an acquaintance from other IPGM (I forgot which IPGM he was). His name is Amir. Thanks for the pictures. The pictures make me realize how bony and petite I am. ERk? But I am OK with that =)
I need to buy more time!!!! After the back-to-back Outside Education (PJK) and Red Crescent Camping, we are to join the cross-country event today, 20th April 2009, spunned for about 7 km beginning from the Bandar Darulaman Lake/Lagoon!

Jauh lagi !!!!

Panasnyaaa…tak ada tempat teduh langsung…
Under the scorching sun of the Northern region (you know Jitra, Kedah is one of the DRIEST place in Malaysia?), we ran all the way into a small wood and then to small villages, in-and-out few bushes and woods and then back to the Darulaman Lake. I can say that although at the moment macam nak pitam sebab terlampau panas sangat (start pukul 2.00 petang!!), pengalaman menghabiskan acara rentas desa 7 km merupakan pengalaman bermakna! Hhehe.. Apapun, pengalaman yg bermakna!

Sempat amik gambar lagi.. untuk catatan blog heheh…
Amidst that, the Science microteaching (presentation with peers-to-peers mode; I will be presenting on subject “Classification of Plants and Animals”) and macroteaching (mock teaching; peers as students where me, Kord and Mat will be conducting class on “The Solar System”) will commence beginning this week !! Not to mention:

Acara Khidmat Masyarakat pulak mengutip sampah lepas tuh..hehe.. my classmates Science 1

Panas terik di Darulaman Lake. A nice vista but scorching HOT!
It’s amazing that with non-stop activities, I can still laugh and enjoy the time. Having good companies are indeed important although sometimes, they have to bear my tantrum. KPLI is not bed of roses but it’s the kind of roses I savor, Insya Allah.

After the Outside Education for PJK (Minor) at Pangkor Island, my friends and I were to attend the Uniform Bodies’ camping which was made compulsory for all KPLI students all over Malaysia (standardization). As for the Northern region Red Crescent Society, the get-together of 5 IPGMs (Institut-Institut Pendidikan Guru Malaysia namely IPGM Kampus Perlis, IPGM Kampus Sultan Abdul Halim (Sungai Petani), IPGM Kampus Tunku Bainun (Bukit Mertajam), IPGM Kampus Pulau Pinang (Penang Island) and of course my beloved institution, IPGM Kampus Darulaman a.k.a. IPDA hailed from Jitra, Kedah!) was held at Pendang, Kedah.

On whole, it was initially a little bit of soporific and draggy schedule but as time passed by, it got exciting and very satisfying. On the fateful 13th April 2009, we gathered at Taman Siswa and then took the bus to Pendang around 2.30 P.M. This was actually my first time exploring Pendang; the first time I went there was with Kakak and Abg Zam to visit Abg Zam’s relatives there. I never really thought that there would be a so-called Lake Resort there (although it was not actually a luxurious one!). We arrived at the resort around 3.15 P.M. and were quite exhilarated (erk?) seeing other IPGMs arriving there as well. This could be a venue to get to know other soon-to-be-teachers, right? After a lengthy briefing, we then whisked (erk?) to our respective dorms.
The first night, we had a draggy “Rapid Disaster” Workshop. It was meant to be an informative one but we were practically so sleepy that we kept talked to one another and totally ignore the instructor! Bad us, I know! The second day, most of the day was focused on 6 elementary skills in harnessing the First Aids skills; which are CPR (cardio pulmonary resuscitation), Bandage, Tie-and-Knots, Stretcher-and-Transmission, Collective Cooking for Disaster and Communication During Disaster (via walkie-talkie). Since I was considerably petite, my group (which coincedently named “Kilat” as well; like in Outside Education trip at Pangkor) always kind of pushed me to become the model! I gave that a try for the Bandage demo and was carried up horizontally (playing severly injured paralyzed victim). So you can expect that my ankles and my hands were tied and was couldn’t move- playing a dead body being carried by paramedics! It was fun, though .. But of course, for the next skill-station when people said out my name to become the ‘volunteer’ model, I refused! Hahahha…

Besides that, we also learnt different types of knots and also how to extinguish fire. On the third night, we had our ‘Malam Penghayatan Kemanusian Bulan Sabit Merah Malaysia” in which I partook the acting scene representing IPDA. With an eleventh hour casting and rehearsal of the semi pantomime (with narration), we managed to secure the first place!!! We were kind of shocked because we didn’t really expect that. Seeing the first IPGM where Muzem’s brother played the villain General Yamashita was nerve-racking and we were nervous beacuse their play was quite strong. My friends said my voice was so loud when I yelled out “Stretcher! Stretcher!” (asyik dok ejek me je; I was acting as the Red Crescent Crew mengubati orang kampung, tentera and askar komunis). Hehhe..Basically, our pantomime revolved around satu kampung yg aman (scene orang kampung and budak-budak) yg hidup aman damai. After that, kampung ni diserang komunis (this part everything turned nasty. Last minute sebelum naik pentas, semua dah agree nak berlakon BETUL-BETUL! So scene tarik rambut, tendak and pijak semua betul-betul la! Joyce dengan Apis yg jadi komunis betul-betul menggunakan ‘kekejaman’ deorang; Joyce hentak kepala Rino dengan pistol permainan whereas Apis plak mcm menggila dok tendang semua orang! Hahha..but everything seemed real la (dengan tambahan sos darah lagi tu..).

Since saya dah masuk lakonan, saya taklah masuk dalam acara kawad. Tetapi mungkin kerana semangat dah memenangi lakonan, kami semua berkumpul bersama-sama melihat pasukan IPDA berlatih kawad malam sebelumnya selepas acara persembahan. Everyone was enthusiasted to possibly menggondol double championship! We were kinda amazed by the fact that we managed to melayakkan IPDA menjadi Juara Keseluruhan. It was sweet for all of us!

For my Science 1, you guys are the best and I want you guys to know that I treasure all of you very much. Juga tak dilupakan kepada rakan-rakan seperti Muzem and Khirwan yg memberi maklum balas yg alleviating. I appreciate that. Thank you so much too, my both friends!

On the positive side, I’m glad that I’ve met new people and also old acquiantances.

On whole, I am proud with what I am today. A soon-to-be-teacher. I have so much knowledge to impart to the students. This is my forte, Insya Allah. =)

What this all is meant to be..

It’s been a while since I last jot something in my blog. It’s not that I was down or heartbroken whatsoever. Life has been so hectic that I barely have time to jot anything here. Well, I always believe that there’s Qaramah in whatever happen. Perhaps God SWT loves me so much that He saves me from the unhealthy relationship. Now I figure yeah it was not healthy. Always swirled with jealousy, trust-and-faith issues, doubts… all of these things certainly make me surrounded with negative energy. Now, I am just free. Like a bird. And a single bird never flies alone. It always being eyed despite it eyeing others. All I can say, I am enjoying this state now. I appreciate all the love that trusted people around me are giving me these days.

From 5th April 2009 till 11th April 2009, my class (Science 1) along with Kemahiran Hidup 1 and Bimbingan & Kaunseling 1 pushed off to Nipah Bay which was situated at Pangkor Island. I can say it was an unforgettable experience! We loaded all the camping paraphernalia on saturday morning and pushed off via buses on the Saturday nite. Around 5am, we reached Lumut and there we rested at the port and performed Subuh prayer there. Lebih kurang pukul 7.30am, we loaded the paraphernalia onto the boat. Nak dijadikan cerita, rupa-rupanya Mak bagitahu kat my cousin, Kak Yati and her husband, Abg Jie that I was to have an activity at Pangkor! They reside at Lumut since Abg Jie was a navy officer and now he is kinda like military/navy spare parts trader. While I was busy helping my friends loading the things, suddenly I heard someone yelled my name!
“Shahrill !!!!”
I was like in bewilderment! LOL! Rupa-rupanya Abg Jie called me and Kak Yati was beside him frantically waving at me. Eww..kinda embarassing and everyone speculated that MY PARENTS came down to see me because they knew that I’m the youngest so they sort of think I’m so manja that my parents came down to see me! ERK????!! LOL, but I treasure them anyway for making an effort to see me although I didnt have time to have a tete-a-tete with them sebab I was loading the things at the inner side of the port. It’s all family affair, y’all!

Anyway, we arrived at Nipah Bay, Pangkor around 11.00 am. We set up the campsites and prepared everything around 12.30 pm. By 2 o’clock, the tentative began. My group namely “Kilat” was supposed to do rafting first. So we spent around 2 hours designing and building the raft. The lecturer constantly provoked us and challenged our mental; asking us to reason out the rationale of our building. Sometimes kami hilang sabar kerana dalam keadaan penat mcam tu, banyak kesalahan yang dihighlight. Apa-apapun, around 4 o’clock, kami berjaya meletakkan rakit dalam laut. So off we go ke Selat Laut Melaka! Memang very exciting; Sri Devi terpaksa fighting her water phobia apabila dipaksa oleh pensyarah. There’s no time for shennanigan there! It was all satisfying. We arrived there around 6.30 pm and by that time, it was already dawn. Alangkah terkejutnya kami bila our lecturers told us that WE HAD TO SPENT THE NIGHT THERE!!!!! Nak-nak pula awan mulai mendung nak hujan….

Nak argue pun tak guna since the lecturers memang tolak mentah-mentah semua cadangan kami nak balik ke Pulau Pangkor seberang sana. It was raining of cats and dogs and kami semua yang kesejukan terpaksa berhimpitan antara satu sama lain. Serangga air kutu babi berkeliaran merata-rata dan habis kayu api yang kami kumpul tadi semuanya basah! Huhuhuh…sejuk mengigil kami.

Kami mengambil langkah menghidupkan api walaupun all the woods that we had collected were wet. I mean, we have to warm ourselves by any means because we were so cold and shivering! Alhamdulillah, berkat hasil usaha gigih selama 1/2 jam, api mula kelihatan walaupun terpadam-padam dengan sisa bara. Only after 1 and 1/2 hour we managed to gain a ‘commendable’ api marak untuk memanaskan badan. Namun begitu, permandangan di situ menakjubkan, Subhanallah! I’ve never seen so many stars upon the canvas of sky in my whole life! The Orion, Sagittarius, The Pleaides were all visible, I tell you! Subhanallah.. Kami lakukan sentri berjaga selang 2 jam. Walaupun macam tu, kebanyakkan kami berjaga sama-sama walaupun bukan hift kami. Bayangkanlah masa tu pun batu sebesar tu keadaannya begitu selesa macam atas katil!...tepat sahaja pukul 6am, kami semua bersiap sedia (bersemangat nak balik), solat subuh atas pasir, siapkan rakit dan kemaskan campsite.

“Mattt! Tolongg Maaatt!!!”
Saya terdengar pulak suara Mat:
Akhirnya Sarah diselamatkan Ketua Jabatan PJK. So glad that she was safe!

Now, I am actually feel lucky that I am a PJK Minor and entered this KPLI and experienced these. Life at the comfy corporate world is a far cry but I don’t regret of leaving it y’all! I am a teacher. NOW. =)
