This week marks the 5th week I am stationed at SK Sultanah Asma for Practical. So far, I am enjoying this experiential learning and try to savor it. Alhamdulillah, so far the senior teachers are very helpful, dedicated and generous in sharing their knowledge as well as trying to make us feel at ease in the school. Today, we just held the ‘Hari Anugerah Cemerlang’ which was solemnized by HRH (DYMM) Sultan of Kedah Darul Aman and HRH (DYMM) Sultanah Tengku of Kedah Darul Aman. I am most fortunate to do my practical in this school that I had an opportunity to be part and witness preparation to welcome royalty guests being made.
“Allah selamat sultan mahkota,
Berpanjangan usia di atas takhta
Memelihara ugama Nabi kita
Negeri Kedah serata-rata”
Welcoming-waving the arrival of The Royal Highnesses.
At this juncture, I’ve received quite positive reviews from my lecturers about possibility of being excellent in Practical. All I need now is to buck up and work harder than ever. With the most rightful lecturers to evaluate me and conducive practical atmosphere, I have to take this rare opportunity to fully exhibit my forte- and of course to show few ex-banker colleagues and community that I didn’t make the wrong choice when I told them that I can weather the new career and I will emerge as (one of) the best, Insya Allah!
Apart from the daily teaching-and-learning processes in classes, I’ve also experienced pupils’ “puppy-love” (which I shall not elaborate in details!). It’s not uncommon to happen to teacher-trainee : but as precaution, I have told other senior teachers like my Guru Pembimbing, Puan Chek Norma and the English teacher whose-class-I-took-over, Puan Noraini about the incident. Both of them are motherly figure and I am just grateful to have them as my confidantes throughout this practical tenure. They have been splurging me with lots of useful advices and strategies how to tackle delicate issues (such as THIS!) and keep motivate me whenever they think I’m feeling down or whatsoever. That’s very nice of them, really.

On a lighter note, the long-awaited Harry Potter silver-screen franchise-“Harry Potter & The Half Blood Prince” was unleashed on the fateful 16th July 2009. Well, I went to see the movie on the first day itself with Kord and Salim; and today for the 2nd time with Kord (Thanks! So nice of you to accompany me for the 2nd time). All I can say, the director has done his best trying to illustrate every sequences of the story narration into movie adaptation. Kudos to him and also to the casts especially Emma Watson (Hermione Granger), Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy), and the two actresses who respectively play Narcissa Malfoy (Helen McCrory) and Lavender Brown (Jessie Cave). I simply love the scene in the Slytherin Cave!!! As the fan of the novels, this adaptation is graphically satisfying, I say!
Hermione Granger, Ronald Weasley & Harry Potter.
Hermione Granger worries about Ron’s abysmal performance in Gryffindor’s Quidditch try-out.
Severus Snape & Narcissa Malfoy performing the The Unbreakable Vow with Bellatrix Lestrange serves as The Bonder.
On whole, I’ve been super-duper busy with hectic life and all. But of course, I appreciate those who have been giving me soothing and encouraging words. The existences are very much treasured and I hope that the healthy relationship will flourish as time passes by. Life is all about trying; and I am trying to shed off my egocentric alter-ego. Sincerity is the essence.
The Burberry trench-coat I managed to get my hands on from a bundle shop at bargained price! Who says you need lots of money to have something fancy? Economical yet cozy (,”)
