A nice family activity during the weekend is to go to stadium and watch football match. It was a nice one watching Malaysian FA Cup with Abg Zam, Kakak and Rifqi. After finished teaching Additional Classes for the year six pupils (English; 1 period & Science 2 period) at Serendah, pushed off to Putrajaya for the weekend calendar. Abg Zam got us the tickets and we pushed off to Bukit Jalil National Stadium after Maghrib prayer.
Since the cars were so congesting the traffic and thronging the roads, we opted to board LRT to Bukit Jalil at Bandar Tasik Selatan. The atmosphere was like a fiesta and I was so excited! Supporter for both states were in exuberant spirits with trumpets, devil horns and many more! The match started around 9.00 P.M. with Kedah showing a good performance initially and that produced the first goal. Unfortunately, Kedah was deterred somehow and Negeri Sembilan became spirited coupled with marvellous defense (I have to admit this!), Negeri leveled the score with first goal. The match was intense and prolonged until the 90 minutes were over; extra 30 minutes and 15 minutes respectively and came to the penalties. The celebrity-player Zakuan I don’t-know-his-last-name didn’t managed to score the first one and that really put hopes to Kedahan as the other players succesfully scored. Up until the 6th or 7th attempts when our Kedah’s goalkeeper who already did excellent job in goalkeeping the ball out from the goal decided to become SAVIOUR by kicking the penalty. Unfortunately, he didn’t kick. He was more like bouncing the ball! The ball was jerked off-side the track- what a waste!!!! The referee being a bias one also didn’t help that much that!
Maybe he tried to be a hero but that was very selfish of him. And of course the rest was history just because Negeri managed to finalized the last goal. Although it was quite sucks for the result, it was nice for me in terms of experience. Mingling in the crowds of Kedahan make me so spirited; cheering and yelling out “PULUN KEDAH PULUN”and blowing trumpets signalling supports to our team. I also had the chance to get to know the man who sat beside me who came with his wife all the way from Alor Star just to watch the game! Both were very into the game and it was nice to see their reaction and also sharing opinions and thoughts.
I also get emotional. It was surreal experience to witness it LIVE. Apart from that, I also discovered a not-so-shocking-quite-expecting-but-no-comment news. Well, I have nothing to jot down about it. Let it just be my personal little secret for myself. Sometimes, transcription can be misinterpreted. Avoiding should be the solace.
On whole, it was an experience I savor. Especially seeing Rifqi cheering with all of us, too (,”)
