Since the B-day fell on 1st June, which happened to be a working day, I did not have ample time to celebrate it; let alone when stranded alone in the provincial region. So, come Saturday after I pushed off from Serendah that morning; Kakak, Abg Zam, Rifqi & I went out to celebrate the belated B-day. Originally, I thought we were going to eat somewhere nearby but then Abg Zam drove the car way out from Putrajaya using the Dengkil road.
Although I was quite in bewilderment (at first I thought we were going to KLIA to buy Kakak’s tickets since she’s going to Kuala Terengganu for meeting tomorrow!), but I did enjoy the scenery of the roads taken. We passed Dengkil, Bandar Salak and a few other small towns along the way- which are alien regions for me. I like discovering new places by boarding vehicles : it’s sorta create this feeling like some National Geographic/ Travellogue TV programme! Anyway, we then arrived at this seashore area with a lot of chalets and seafood arcades ala Teluk Batik/Lumut. This place is called Bagan Lalang – which has been dubbed as the haven for Seafood Lovers.
The fresh sea air blown to the faces rejuvenated me and reminds me back to Penang (smell of salted sea-water, more like!). We then went to a nearby Seafood Arcade called “Bayu Malam” which was thronged with entourages and families! There was even a group consisting newly-wed couple (still donning their “Baju pengantin”) eating there.
On whole, I can say the price is affordable and the foods were sumptuous lot! With the sea-air blown your hair, you’ll never get a much better seafood experience!
