The weekend days from 1st October 2010 until 3rd October 2010 were definitely red-letters. On Friday night (1st October), went to watch “Legend Of The Fist : The Return Of Chen Zhen” starring Donnie Yen as the fictional Chen Zhen at Alamanda, Putrajaya. It was an alright movie which mostly centers on the patriotism of the Chinese during the occupation of Japan in China. The martial-art choreography was somewhat cliche as well as the storyline; nonetheless, the Sino-Japanese (1940s) settings of the film were breathtaking. The idea of reliving the cabaret nightlife of Shanghai was artistically-driven and roping Shu Qi as the Japanese woman-masqueraded-herself-as-Chinese-to-be-the-spy was the icing of tipping the commercial markets. On whole, I give 3 stars out of 5 stars.
On Saturday, I was scheduled to go to my cousin, Abg Anuar’s house in Melaka; but the plan was scrapped due to Kakak’s dilly-dallying on preparing foods for our Open House on Sunday; she needed Saturday to complete the whole dishes and yes, Mak’s prediction came true instantaneously without much say. I helped us doing all minor chores just to make sure everything was smooth-sailing albeit I was a bit pissed off by the sudden called off! Grrrrrrr!!!
Anyway on Sunday 3rd October, we organized our Open House in Putrajaya with congested crowd thronging in the house! Although it was tiring and topsy-turvy, it was definitely an exciting event to see friends, relatives and acquaintances who I barely had time to set eyes on. Kakak and Abg Zam’s friends came along with their families so you can imagine the atmosphere. I have to say it was close-knitted yet very warm and cheerful Open House; and the delicacies prepared for the Open House – Satay, “Soto”, “Beehoon Sup”, Strawberry-toppings tiramisu, trifle & Nachos dipping were all finished!
And I was so excited to meet Imran, Zhafry, Fahmi, Mona & Kat and happy to have chance to introduce them to each other. Hehehee. Above all, although it was a bit tiring and klutzy, everything is all worthy and who knows maybe I will co-joining Kakak again next year for Aidilfitri Open House- by injecting capital, of course! Hahahahaha. (,”)
