Halloween is a pagan festival derives from the pre-Christianity era. It is the day where kids and adults are drawn towards spooky spirits, diabolique elements and as well as getting hooked up in flamboyant costumes and numerous candies to be given out in ‘Trick’ or ‘Treat’ tradition. Of course with the arrival of Christianity and Islam, the elements of being too ‘consumed’ in paganisme is very much worrisome as it may clash with the identical core of the faiths themselves (correct me if I am wrong!)- Christianity (to worshipping the paganisme is quite similar to worshipping Satan) and Islam (to be intoxicated in elements that may contradict to the worshipping One Deity, that is Allah SWT).
But I ain’t talking about the genealogical tapestry of Halloween. I want to talk about myself. I don’t celebrate the festival but the idea of getting goofy with macabre costumes and eccentric-and-spooky behaviors really fascinate me! Someone told me that Genting Highlands held one of the so-called the ‘best place for Halloween’; so since my place is quite near, I thought it would be fun to have a peekaboo on the event itself on the apex!
On whole, it was an alright atmosphere. The deco is average with every now and then shopping outlets selling costumes for Halloween. Nonetheless, with the existence of “Ripley’s Believe It Or Not?” exhibition house at First World Hotel; I guess the spirit or the mood of Halloween is relived. I simply love the Addams’ Family experience! The Torturing Chamber, The Skull, The Real-Prison Door, various types of handcuffs used to torture people, all types of coffins, cremation chamber, weirdo mannequins of freaky people and replicas simply make my day worthy. I know it sounds weird but I felt like it’s my type of Chocolate Factory! I love Mr. Ripley’s collection. (,”)
