Congratulation to all the Malayan tigers; the nickname affectionately dubbed for Malaysian football players! The 2nd leg of Suzuki Cup between Malaysia and Indonesia proved to shine on Malaysia’s side by winning 4-2 on aggregate. Seemed like Malaysia already realized the fact that playing on Indonesia soil meant that the other party will sure to put all the efforts all out. Therefore by securing 3-0 in the 1st leg, Malaysia was on the comfort zone but Indonesia was no team to be taken for granted with. They slicked and put pressure and scored 2 goals (one goal was ‘presented’ by Malaysian player through OWN GOAL)! With another goal in Indonesia, Malaysia cemented it’s first position in 14 years as a Suzuki Cup champion! Congrats!
Went to a 24-hours restaurant in Rawang to watch the live telecast and the atmosphere there was absolutely CRAZY in a joyful way! I love the exuberance and excitement there! It was nice to see unity all comes together and everyone anticipates and support our Motherland. That’s the kind of spirit I always endear. Patriotism is something I hold close to my blood and veins- and the subject is very sensitive to me. I love my country very much and every single events that could possibly bring the unity together makes me excited and welcome with warmth. Hopefully that this victory will open Malaysians’ eyes to start supporting the Malaysian team which has been condemned for not exhibiting good performances in comparison to our predecessor football teams. Everyone should trust our ability.
And as icing to the cake, Prime Minister announced that this Friday is a public holiday due to the victory! Will the school meeting still commences? Hahahaha! Congratulations, once again Malayan Tigers. MALAYSIA BOLEH!
