Happy New Year 2011 y’all. It feels instantaneous that a year has passed since my career as a teacher started. And it has also been a year since I first came to Serendah to begin my education calendar. On whole, it has been a bittersweet year for me; both personal and professional. I sincerely thank God for everything and is certainly grateful to what I am now; I am now at different phase of life where I am feeling content and couldn’t asked for more. It’s certainly a great feeling to know I’ve come this far by surpassing all the hurdles and hardship I had last year.
Honestly, I am having a very bad side-effect from Tonsilitis attack since 30th December; but Alhamdulillah is moving towards recovery. I couldn’t use my both nostrils as the nose was congested and my ears hurt and the hearing level was impaired. Headache and my head was spinning and I threw up once around 3 A.M. in the morning. The white patch on the throat was visible that I went to see doctor (by riding motorcycle to Rawang albeit I was so weakened by the fever) and was prescribed with antibiotics and other medication stuffs. Everything seemed so difficult because I had to manage everything all alone. I could have died alone or fainted alone and nobody knows. So, by hook or crook, I would just have to struggle with all my might trying to manage everything.
Getting sustenance ready is quite a challenge when living alone in a deteriorating health. But, that’s the kinda thing one has to manage in order to survive.
The first night was tormenting! My body was so hot and my head was feeling heavy. I vomited on that night. Probably because the stomach could not accept the antibiotics and all. It was VERY dreadful; with the addition that I had to breathe using MY MOUTH : my nose was all congested! Imagine that! Masya Allah, seriously, it was suffocating for me!
It’s a wonder how a mere muscle at the throat (tonsil) could create turbulent side-effects such as fever, headache, vomit, nose congestion, and hearing impaired? Nobody could answer. It’s God’s miracle work. And for now, I really hope I would be recover before the school re-opens on 3rd January 2011. I have a lot of work to do since I am class teacher for 5 Gallant (school fees collection, registering pupils’ names and details, class work delegations and all).
WORK! WORK! WORK! And Happy New Year 2011. May the year proves to be a calendar with sweet events and memorable days. For me and all of you.
