Today, God exposes me to another experience. To live in a suburban “kampung” house in a district which still boasting its au naturel flora and fauna, Serendah is a nest of various types of animals. And that to include my own rent-house. A type of wasps – I am not sure whether they are bees or hornets (but not large) has already nested in the house when I entered the house in early 2010. Ayah was adamant to get rid of the wasps but he was bitten. So, I figure out if wouldn’t do harm to live together with the wasp; I mean after all they lived there first and who knows if they are like some reincarnation of some spiritual spirits. So, we lived together.

Anyway, this type of wasp love to surround lights and lamps. So, this morning before going to school (already donned my Baju Batik) and getting ready; suddenly I felt as like there was an insect at my neck. My first instantaneous thought was that it was an ant or a mosquito; thus I try to shun the insect harshly from the neck. Unfortunately SUDDENLY, I felt a sting punctured at my neck!! OUCHHH!!! It hurts! Then I realized that the ‘insect’ was the wasp! The sting struck me like a needle punctured onto the soft pillow. Man!
The stung from the wasp.
I decided to still go to the school since I thought perhaps the throbbing pain will recede. Furthermore, the kids are more important and I have set a personal goal to limit my MC-taking for this year. Entered the Teacher’s Room and had a talk with Kak Mazidah & Kak Aireen. I then when to the further D Block for 4 Brilliant English class which starts at 7.10 A.M. and my, the journey seemed VERY FAR! The kids were quite surprised seeing me in that lethargic state- not in the usual fiery and excited mode. Well, either way 2 kids were punished for sending homework later that the expected time. As lethargic I was, responsibility to set discipline is still carried on.
Anyway, after the English class finished, I hurried myself to the ground floor of Block B for my 5 Gallant’s Visual Arts lesson. But I went to Teacher’s Room first. And my how shocked I was to find myself in the mirror! My face has turned flushed-red and now the body felt itchy and very uncomfortable. My ligaments and joints were weaken. My neck has the visible punctured mark.
Without hesitation, I went to see my GPK Kokurikulum, Puan Azian and before I said anything, spontaneously she was SHOCKED and FLABBERGASTED to see my flushed-red face!
“What happened to YOUR face????”
I managed to briefed her about what happened and at that time GPK HEM, Puan Zainon were also there as well. They went berserk and asked to me to hurry up seeing the doctor. Without further ado, I went to see doctor at the 24 hour-Poliklinik Serendah. The doctor was quite shocked seeing me and she said that the wasp’s poison has spread quite fast given the state of my body was full with the itchiness and the flush-red mark! She injected the vaccine at my bumcheek (Yeah, I know! I was a bit flustered to know that I have to expose my bumcheek in front of three ladies! LOL!).
The doctor said the poison is still confined the body and I would have to avoid seafood for a while. Well, and that all caused me around RM76.00! Hmm..the price for health. Anyway, messaged GPK and told her about everything; went home and had the delayed-breakfast and the allergic tablets.
Alhamdulillah, at this juncture the itchiness and flush-red marks are gone although the punctured mark is still visible and I still feel quite lethargic. Well, that’s an experience. The wrath from a small insect of God’s creation. Small; but lethal. Alhamdulillah for all.
