Sometimes, the world around you swirls instantaneously without you having the chance to savour the moment or realize it. So many things happened in a blink of an eye. To be cooped in the cocoon of a self-mirrored chrysalis is a knowledge-suicide, do you agree? We have to be alert with what is happening around the globe and our surrounding; rather than to just dwelling with the hanky-panky daily routines of ourselves.
The man who happens to be the reason the riots were triggered. Mark Duggan.
As of 6th August 2011, nearly 200 people thronged in Tottenham to demonstrate against the case of a fatal-shooting of Mark Duggan by an officer on 4th August 2011. The commotion was due to the fact there were limited information pertaining the case and the family felt their rights had been denied. Unfortunately, some of the people in the demonstration turned into violence and somehow the “riot-virus” began to infest other cities as well and to date, has been infesting most of the major cities in England; hence the event is unofficially dubbed as “The 2011 England Riots”.
Racial tensions conjured amongst the society and looting is unabashedly happens every now and then. As of 11th August 2011, it was reported that United Kingdom MAY ban the usage of social networking site such as Twitter because it is said that such site has proved to be a viable platform for the riot-creators to gather followers and exchange information for their activities; at least that was what the news said based on the statement released by David Cameron, the Prime Minister of United Kingdom. All in all, I pray that all my friends and fellow Malaysians who reside or about to go to United Kingdom will be saved from harm; unscathed by the current chaotic atmosphere.
In the midst of all these chaotic air, a Malaysian student named Asyraf Haziq Rosli who apparently went out to buy Iftar food was caught in the middle of riot, resulting his jaw broken and bleeding! To add the salt to the wound, some passers-by pretended to help him but turned out to mug his stuffs and went away, leaving the young Malaysian in a stunned state. The incident was filmed and apparently has garnered 3 milllion viewers in You-Tube. Asyraf has been showing good spirit as a Malaysian when he adamantly refused to go back and will continue his study in Britain. He also “felt sorry that there are some school children and schooling-boys who are involved in the riot”. Kudos!
Anyway, so happened that I just browsed my friend’s blog – that is Muzem. I was in mixture of flabbergasted, amazed and undeniably envious (YES, I am honest) to learn that he was granted an “Anugerah Perkhidmatan Cemerlang” (APC) accolade within the mere 3 years he is in service as a teacher!!! ( he is a year senior than me in Government-line service). Wow, that was a record and I am totally flummoxed over that! But knowing Muzem, I have to say HE DESERVED the accolade! Why I said that? He is a “Data Teacher” (the one who is responsible to key-in all the data for school staffs and other shenanigan); active in sport & co-curriculum activities and excels in teaching Year 6 pupils of his school! That’s very tough job! Congratulations, Muzem!
But I can’t help feeling a little bit envious (in a positive way) that he already got a recognition. When will my time come? Still A LONG WAY! Hahahaha…. Well, of course one may says that it’s hard for me to score that recognition given the fact that my school HAS more than 90 teachers and seniorities are always “prioritize as token of respect for the elders”; but I guess it could be materialize if I really WORK MY ASS OFF and show my utmost dedication, right? It’s a long and tough journey but if I believe in myself, I can nail it, Insya ALLAH. And IF things didn’t work out the way I plan, I can always ask for transfer to another seemingly-potential school for me to be nominated into APC, aite? Hahahaha, either way I guess it’s just a normal dream for any teachers to have it. AND IF THERE ANYONE WHO SO HAPPENED TO READ THIS TRYING TO STIR CONTROVERSY OR MANIPULATE WHAT I WROTE INTO WRONG CONNOTATION, I say…. F*** Y**! (,”)
Last but not least, I would recommend Rihanna’s album “Loud” that I just bought 2 weeks ago to all contemporary-modern music lovers because I honestly feels that the album is of a good quality, chique-ambiance and embodies what the modern-music is all about. Of course the lyrics are quite promiscuously provocative and naughty but the melody and the musical compositions are fresh and definitely a comeback departure from Rihanna’s dark age with her “Rated R” album.
Rihanna is cool. I like her music although initially I thought that she was a fake; trying to emulate hotness through tattoos fetishes ala Angelina Jolie (Angie!); but I have to say that her music are simply cool. She’s just like what her perfume was named; “Reb’l Fleur” – at least her music, that is! It’s a French name for Rebel Flower; someone who seemingly demure and meek outside unknowingly has a bad alter-ego persona inside of the soul. And that is just like me. A seemingly naive and childish…. but… I am not THAT innocent. *smirk*
P/S : My blog’s background song usually plays Rihanna’s “S&M”. But due to Ramadhan, I’ve changed that into “NurKasih” out of respect. Well, it doesn’t seems right to display my masochist fetish in the midst of sacred Ramadhan, aite? (,”)
