Tonight is the night of 17th Ramadhan. The night of Nuzul Al-Quran. The night where the Holy Book Al-Quran was descended to Prophet Muhammad SAW with the intermediary of archangel Jibril A.S. And it’s raining heavily in Serendah, Hulu Selangor; as I am jotting down this entry as at 1.11 A.M., the rain is pouring cats and dogs from the Up Heaven, Subhanallah. I’ve managed to perform some extended the usual rakaat for Terawikh and extended the recital of Miftahul Qulub Al-Quran. Usually, I will perform 8 rakaat of Terawikh & 3 rakaat of Witr but tonight I managed to extend to 16 rakaat whereas for Al-Quran, I will make an effort to read a page per night (since prior to Ramadhan). But tonight I managed to read 2 pages – So far am now at the 50th Surah, Surah Qaf. Alhamdulillah.

It brings soothing feeling inside. Perhaps it coincides. Perhaps it is destined. On the night to commemorate the revelation, the rain is pouring so heavily, transcending cooling effect for everyone on earth. We human are never to be easily quenched. We have so much demands. When it is sweltering hot, we want rain. When it is pouring raining, we want the sun. With these flaws and limited knowing about the secret of lives, we seek solace for The One. Holy Book as the salvation valve, Insya ALLAH.
