Lavish birthday parties are never an accustomed event in my family. Yes, we wish each other and we have our very own close-knitted family affair to commemorate the birthdays; but never a fancy one. A mediocre and simple yet, a close-knitted one.
Edited by Kakak. Thanks so much. And to my nephew, Rifqi as well (,”)
So, on my birthday 1st of June, it was initially like any other days. But since my parents had to attend the solemnization of one of my cousin’s son, we couldn’t manage or plan anything. But it was OK because I wasn’t really so much of that “celebrating” air in my head. As the matter fact, I killed time in replying all the Facebook, Tagged & SMSes Birthday wishes tantamount to 1,000++ wishes. Well, if you think that is many; think again that it was out of my 4,900++ “FB friends” in the list; so it was no biggie actually. And don’t take that seriously. FB is just a social networking to holler and au revoir although we don’t know them. It is sort of like a courtesy to wish them on the big day. So, no “air-head” or proud or whatsoever. Nothing to take seriously. Hahahaha! But I have to say that my fingers were so tired; but I appreciate immensely each and every wishes.
While we were hanging out talking as family, suddenly my nephew Rifqi blurted out that Kakak wanted to but a cake for my birthday! Hahhaahha! What a secret-spoiler! We laughed and I told that it was alright. No need since I am now growing older; so the sentimental idea to really have a lavish birthday was not really attractive anymore. BUT, Kakak still bought a cake and with Domino Pizza and also some party paraphernalia like the hat and everything! Awwww…. that is sweet. I mean although we bicker, we fight, we have misunderstandings and disagreements, we are still brother and sister. We are a family…. Aww, despite flaws and all, I am just touched with the thoughts. Thanks Kakak and Rifqi, my nephew! (,”)
Unprepared for the world to see! Oh, well…. unkempt is normalcy. (,”)
Since my parents and Abang Zam came back quite late from the solemnization, we postponed the seafood-savouring to 2nd June. So tonight on 2nd June, we went to our usual seafood haven, The Sepang Gold Coast at Bagan Lalang beach. As usual, we went to “Bayu Malam”. The food were simply fantastic and sumptuous like usual. With 5 people, we were charged merely RM148. And not to say that we couldn’t afford to finish all; have to bring back the crabs Kakak ordered!
Delicious food in Sepang Gold Coast at Bagan Lalang Beach. Malaysia is truly a haven and heaven of food! (,”)
You know, the song “Family” sung by Effie White when the The Dreams was trying to replace her with other members as she was retaliating against the idea of making Deena Jones the lead singer REALLY depicts life as a family. We have disagreements; but we have to eventually compromise; as we are a family….. (,”)
What about what I need?
Curtis says its the best thing for the group.
What about whats best for me?
He feels the Dreams can crossover.
What about how I feel?
But when we’re famous, I’ll write great things for ya, Effie do it for me.
What about me? What about me?
It’s more than you, it is more than me
No matter what we are, we are a family
This dream is for all of us, this one can be real,
and you cant stop us now because of how you feel..
It’s more than you, It is more than me
Whatever dreams we have, there for the family,
we’re not alone anymore now there are others there,
and that dreams big enough for all of us to share,
So don’t think that your going,
your not going anywhere, your staying and taking your share, and if
you get afraid again, I’ll be there..,
We are a family like a giant tree branching out towards the sky, we are a family we
are so much more than just you and I we are a family like a giant tree,
growing stronger, growing wiser, we are growing free..we need you..we are a family.
