The day reached the phase of HALF MOON; if it were to be a real natural-satellite moon. I am not saying about the real moon; it’s month I am taking about. As the Malay Language refers “moon” & “month” with the same term “bulan”; that explains the bizarre introduction. LMAO! Anyway, Ramadhan has reached 15th day; instantaneously I say!

Anyway, of recently in this month of Ramadhan; this week to be precise, an uproar ignited in Desa Anggerik, Serendah. A senior colleague of mine found that her house was broke-in by unknown people. Just as she got back home from school, the wooden house was found broken and cracked opened and each of the rooms was searched frantically with clothes all de-compartmentalize on the floor! She was scared to enter while waiting for her husband; worried if her secondary school son was held “inside”; so she had to call me.
So, I went there and BRAVED myself (although I was shaken like HELL! My first time entering a first-hand crime scene) just to check if there were any burglars there; with a stick on my hand no less! To cut the story short; the policeman told us that another house was also broken in and guess what? It was a TEACHER’S house as well and also another one. For the record, there were 3 houses broken in! Certainly this is alarming and spontaneously making me thinking – “DO I REALLY WANT TO SETTLE IN HULU SELANGOR? IS MY DECISION TO FIND A PROPERTY IN BATANG KALI IS THE RIGHT THING?” Of course in comparison to Putrajaya, there’s nothing you can do; but I guess it happens everywhere. The impression of that Serendah, Batang Kali, Antara Gapi or Rawang as ‘black area’ is antiquated. It’s all in the mind…or is it really? I don’t know; but I hope it won’t deter my enthusiasm to find property there.
Anyway, managed to catch the remake of “Total Recall” today with Kord a.k.a. Zahiri, my ex-KPLI coursemate. So happened that he is in town for weekend Iftar, bunking at his sister/brother-in-law’s place. What can I say? Although initially I was having doubt about this flick being a remake of Arnold Schwazernegger’s 1990 film, it proved me wrong! THIS FILM IS SO AWESOME!!!! From the start till the end, there wasn’t a moment where I got bored. The CGIs were majestic and the plot was not a lame; in fact quite strong; and the ensemble casts were amazing!!

Jessica Biel, Colin Farrell & Kat Beckinsale gracing MAXIM cover to promote “Total Recall.”
With basic draft setting that the world exists with merely 2 places to accommodate population; which are United Federal Britain (at the present Britain now, of course the northern pole) and The Colony (Australia, on the map which is the southern pole), the world is threaten with corruption and power-abusing. These two populations; though are located on the both opposite poles of the world, is bridged via The Fall, a machine that goes through the mantel and the core of the Earth with spectacular speed.
The protagonist played by Colin Farrell was an agent of whose memories was meddled by an authority. After ages of flops and shying from the box-office radar, Farrell has found himself a great movie and I am pretty sure that this hit will catapult him back to the stardom A-list. With newly buffed figure, he sure make a lot of people swoon (especially when you’d think about the sex clip between him and the Playboy mate; Hahaa!). Biel as the love interest is hot and sexy in a subtle way. Her lips are so gorgeous; I think apart from Angie, Biel’s lips are one of the sexiest ever. No wonder Timberlake has this on-off relationship with her. She is sure lucky to land a role on this movie!
BUT, I have to say that Kate Beckinsale steals the show! With her role as adamant and relentless fake “wife” of Farrell, she had several action scenes which demanded her to be very physical and I guess she pulled that off quite well. OK, perhaps she secured the role because after all, the film is directed by her husband, Len Wiseman but I guess she proved that she could handle such meaty role. And it’s really enthralling to see the fact that she changed her accent from American (in her disguise) to the British when revealed herself. Plus, she looks amazingly HOT and SEXY in a roguish way! Anyway, I give 4.5 stars out of 5 stars!!!! Kudos!
The original “Total Recall” in 1990. Staring Arnold Schwazernegger & Sharon Stone. I remember the movie via Mega Movie slot in TV3 when I was a kid in primary school. (,”)
This weekend, I decided to treat Kakak, Abang Zam & Rifqi. So, we decided to go to Palm Garden Hotel IOI Resort Putrajaya; although Kakak initially contested as she said the food ain’t that nice. At first we were deliberating on Marriott Putrajaya or Concorde KLIA but then both were fully booked.
On whole, the food were OK but NOT as nice and variety as PICC. And the pricing is certainly not as economical as PICC, as well. You might say that it’s normal for a buffet. Well, yeah. If we pay more for a more delicious meal and service, then it’s a YES. But for Palm Garden Hotel, I have to say it’s a NAY although the food and the prawns, satay and “otak-otak” are quite delicious. Nevertheless, NO VARIETY for RM70 per person and RM42 for children under 12 years old. But I don’t regret going there. After all, it’s a once experience. Nonetheless, I like the traditional ambiance there with all the wooden architecture.
Saw a punching bad on the way to Surau. I got excited with Rifqi as well. Goofing around with it. Kicking and punching it ala Karate Kid. Hahhaha!
Just pampering myself once in a while. (,”)
