The year 2012 is nearing to its end. To look back, I have one beautiful year with beautiful souls and beautiful experiences. I am always grateful with life that God SWT has granted me and the people who are with me now. Despite my flaws and oddities, my life is full of love. Of course I can’t deny that once a while, my dark alter-ego will come out but it has been a long way from my emotional rebellious days. My life is stable now.
To look back, this year has been a great year for me professionally. I have been given chance to teach Year 6 pupil in Science and I think it is a great paradigm shift to happen because when you teach year 6, the pressure is more and you have to improve the techniques of teaching and give more. For me it is a great experience to learn from other senior teachers and getting that experience in a school where you have around 96 teachers altogether, is quite precious I say. Of course if you are teaching in schools where you have less pupils no more than 1,000 pupils, the ‘privilege’ or probability of teaching Year 6 is so huge! Irregardless, I think it’s a great opportunity and experience to learn. Perhaps I could exercise that in another school when I apply to move (Oops!).
In terms of experiencing new worlds; I have managed to explore New Zealand (the southern island) and also Hong Kong in this year of 2012! The road-trip in New Zealand taught me a lot of thing and to appreciate people apart from discovering new world (REFER : https://undomiel84.wordpress.com/2012/03/22/the-kia-ora-experiences-in-te-wai-pounamu-new-zealand-the-real-middle-earth-on-earth/). I never thought I could reached there but I did and luckily that March was one of the last trip that Air Asia had for en route to New Zealand. The country is definitely the real Middle Earth! And lesson learned – travel with people that could accept your weaknesses and flaws because you will be needing each other during hard and difficult time while travelling. Selfishness must be avoided; so its best to travel with your own kin, I say. And I’ve also did my Bungy Jump at Kawarau Bridge which was the World’s First Bungy Jump spot by AJ Hackett!!!!! People just don’t believe due to my childlike and soft-spoken nature, but hey, I am a Black Swan.
Me doing a Bungy Jump? Who would have thought?! But I did. So suck up to that.
And for Hong Kong, it’s amazing that I finally reached Disneyland!!!!! (https://undomiel84.wordpress.com/2012/11/19/hong-kong-the-melting-pot-of-asians-caucasians-estuary-of-races-religions/). It has become one of my must-go place since I was a kid and I am so happy that I have crystallize that for my own sake. Not to forget, I have ‘met’ my inspirational idol, Angie! Well, although she was just a wax mannequin in “Madame Tussaud’s” , I still got a picture side-by-side with her, no? My next ambition is to have a picture with Oprah – my other inspiration in life!
Meeting “Angelina Jolie” or Angie!
Apart from that, my resolution to have some investments have also materialized in somewhat ways. I have already sealed myself to buy a residence in Batang Kali and is expected to be completed in 2014, Insya ALLAH. And for the financial investment of which I have a debate on the ASB whether it is Shariah compliance or not : https://undomiel84.wordpress.com/2012/04/18/investment-in-amanah-saham-nasional-bumiputera-asb-islamic-perspective-boon-or-bane/#comment-6021, I have made up my mind that I won’t be opening an ASB account instead I am venturing myself to maximize my account in Tabung Haji (Hajj Account). It’s definitely Shariah-compliance as well as Zakat-friendly.
A crib of my own. Insya ALLAH.
And lastly for the 2012 finale sum up, I would love to say to all my loved ones that I love you all so much. Although you have to put up with my tantrums and shenanigans as Black Swan in incognito, but you still here. I love you forever and ever. Thanks love (s).
