Malaysia – consists of Peninsular Malaysia, Sarawak & Sabah. The formation has gone for about 56 years despite some vague historical effect that clouded the very existence of North Borneo. Nevertheless, when the ‘glitches’ derived from the situation where Sabah which was formerly known as North Borneo was in the reigning of Sulu Sultanate was said to be merely “on lease” to the Malaysian government; hence making the so-called heir to the Sulu Sultanate lineage to claim the land ‘belonged’ to them – by resorting to being terrorists, of course.
The area drenched by bloodshed.
Historically, as a brief stint; some part of northern Sabah was given to the Sulu Sultanate for helping the Sultan of Brunei defeating his enemies. But then, when the Spain colonization took part a decade later, any sovereignty of Sulu Sultan was relinquished by the Spain via Madrid Protocol including any claims to the lands, etc. It was dictated as per :
“The Spanish Government renounces, as far as regards the British Government, all claims of sovereignty over the territories of the continent of Borneo, which belong, or which have belonged in the past to the Sultan of Sulu (Jolo), and which comprise the neighbouring islands of Balambangan, Banguey, and Malawali, as well as all those comprised within a zone of three maritime leagues from the coast, and which form part of the territories administered by the Company styled the “British North Borneo Company.”
Alfred Dent, founder of North Borneo.
Smithereens/pieces of what left from the lungs and heart of the murdered Malaysian policemen bu Sulu Terrorist! This is NO ISLAM BRETHREN!!!!! I say, show no mercy to this Sulu terrorist!
Nevertheless, as a token of continuing the practices carried by the British since before 1957, Malaysia has been paying the heirs of Sulu Sultanate US 1,500 per year (RM 6,300) – which was more than the agreeable RM 5,300 payable per year. Now, Malaysia considered the amount to be annual “cession” (land transferred) while unfortunately Sulu Sultanate still claimed it as “rental”. These were all uprooted from the misunderstanding from the 1878 Agreement between Alfred Dent, the founder of North Borneo (British) and Sulu Sultanate. Now, the so-called dispute was supposed to come to an end when on 22 April 1903, His Majesty Sultan Jamalul Kiram (the so-called descendant) himself had signed document that reinforced the “Confirmation of cession of certain islands”! But what triggered the sudden Lahad Datu Attack?
The coat of arms of Sulu Sultanate -w hich was defunct in 1917; but still is carried by the descendants ala The Pretender monarchy. Mimicking Shah Reza Pahlawi dynasty (House of Pahlawi) of Iran or the Kamehameha Dynasty of Hawaii; though long gone?
With all these historical commotion, it is no wonder why Malaysia has been very careful in threading this murky political water. Ignorant society may condemn HERE and THERE but they never realized the complexity of the situation. The intervention of America in 1906 and 1920 to “formally” reminding The Great Britain that part of northern Sabah was still under the Sulu Sultanate clearly defying what were stipulated in Madrid Protocol. Great Britain of course, IGNORED this intervention. When Malaysia was formed in 1962, exclusive of Sabah; Phillipines which has already absorbed and relinquished Sulu Sultanate began to claim the part of disputed North Borneo! The seriousness degree of the case came to the extend that in 1968, President Macapagal of Phillipine had formed a team of militants to penetrate Sabah in “Operation Merdeka”!!! It was somehow failed due to technical glitches among themselves via Jabidah Massacre. (Refer to : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jabidah_massacre).
Anyway, back to the recent Lahad Datu commotion. I would not decipher it in detail as you can read the chronology in Wikipedia via http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2013_Lahad_Datu_standoff. Nonetheless, what I wanted to draw attention was the murder of several Malaysian martyrs who died while defending our nation as well as the intervention of Moro people led by Nur Misuari.
The warriors of the nation. May ALLAH SWT blessed the murdered martyrs. AMIN.
It was a heart wrenching moment to learn that 2 Malaysian policemen were killed at Tanduo Village because of mortar planted by the terrorists. The martyrs were Inspektor Zulkifli Mamat & Sarjan Sabaruddin from Unit 69 Komando. It was just so sad seeing the loss that caused so much pain to the family; all in the name of patriotism. Several days later, 5 other policemen were murdered in Semporna; they were :-
- Superitendan Ibrahim Lebar, 52 – from Cawangan Khas Bukit Aman;
- Lans Koperal Mohd. Azrul Tukiran, 27 – Batalion 14 Pasukan Gerakan Am, Tawau
- Sarjan Abdul Azis Sakirun, 48 – Batalion 14 Pasukan Gerakan Am, Tawau
- Koperal Salam Togiran, 42 – Cawangan Pengangkutan IPD Tawau
- Asisten Superitendan Michael Padel, 36 – Ketua Cawangan Khas Polis Daerah Semporna
- Sarjan Baharin Hamid, 49 – Kontinjen IPD Sabah

As a typical scenario in Malaysia, everything is being politicized. So did this Lahad Datu Attack. Several ruthless and ungrateful statements were made by politicians and plain people without realizing what these national warriors had done. I am so angry with them! And what’s more when we heard the brutality of Sulu terrorists upon our Malaysian warriors. They didn’t just KILLED; they mutilated the brain, the eyes and other body parts of our deceased Malaysian warriors – so was said. The humanity died when greed conquered. You can read the description via this site : http://facebookaans.blogspot.com/2013/03/perang-lahad-datu-kisah-benar-di.html?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+blogspot%2FQUZvp+%28.%3A%3A+A+A+N+S+%3A%3A.%29&utm_content=FaceBook. SO OUTRAGEOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!
The late Assistant Superitendant Michael Padel.
Nur Misuari, the leader of Bangsamoro and the Moro National Liberation Front (MILF) which is said to be the brethren of Sulu people suddenly came into the picture. He said that Moro will send their troops to aid the Sulu terrorists! And this came to the people of which Malaysia has been so kind. Why? Malaysia always becomes so tender-heart when ‘brethren under the name of one religion, Islam’ is used. I remembered the time in the mid 1990s (if I am not mistaken, was in primary school) that several campaigns and fund were raised to help the Moro people because they were ‘our Moslem brothers’. And now, look what they have done to us???? A Malay maxim clearly states ” Susu dibalas tuba” – milk is repaid with poison. Thank you Nur Misuari.
Nur Misuari, the leader of ungrateful Bangsamoro of which Malaysian had already been helping a lot. Malay maxim well-said : “milk is repaid with poison” (Susu dibalas tuba).
As to date, the commotion is still going on. My prayer to the warriors of the nation. Your spirit lives on; your deeds will remain in our hearts. A lyric of a patriotic song sung by Saloma entitled “Perwiraku” (My Heroes) clearly interprets the emotion :
Perwira…
Dikaulah harapan hati
Penghibur kala sunyi
Pergilah berbakti
Membela pertiwi
Perwira…
Janganlah kekanda bimbang
Untuk pergi berjuang
Andainya kau gugur
Jasamu dikenang
Dengarlah lagu kucipta
Gubahan mesra nan manja
Sebagai ganti diri
Bersama kau berbakti
Semoga tabah hati
Kekanda di medan perang
Adinda di medan seni
Sama-sama berjuang
Sama-sama berbakti
Untuk ibu pertiwi
Majulah kekanda maju jangan undur
Dinda mohon doa restu
Rela sehidup semati bersamamu
Perwiraku
Go fight for your country; even if you are gone, your spirit lives on. Never surrender, we pray for you. Our national Malaysian warriors. Amin.
