With all the much hype, I went to watch the anticipating “Iron Man 3”. This time around to avoid the expected congested lines of people queuing up, I bought the tickets via TGV E-Ticketing online. It was easy and breezy and of course the company was like teasing me for doing ‘such a great job’. Oh, well.. whatever. Hahaha!
Honestly, I’ve planned to take photo besides the poster at TGV; but scrapped the plan because I wouldn’t want to be seen so awkward and embarrassing! Hence, the self-picture. Oh, well.
All I can say, the movie is quite OK as a light entertainment. I mean, what do you expect? It is a superhero deal. But personally in my opinion if it were to be compared to the “The Avengers” or my favourite X-Men franchise, it is definitely a FAR CRY! Alright, perhaps I was being biased because I am X-Men fanatic but hey, that’s what a blog is all about, aite? From my own perspectives (,”).
Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark.
This time around, the billionaire playboy Tony Stark has constant anxiety attacks; and is forced to flee when his extravagant Malibu residence was destroyed by Aldrich Killian (Guy Pearce) who used a decoy code-named “Mandarin” played by Ben Kingsley (it was rather funny how he actually turned out to be. You guys have to watch it). Hence, there were conflicts between Stark and Pepper and the commitment to serve the nation, namely the US; of course.
Pepper Potts played by Gwyneth Paltrow! She still got the hotness!
On whole, I guess the “Iron Man” franchise has successfully revitalizes Robert Downey Jr.’s Hollywood career. He brings out the cockiness and the suave of Tony Stark; Guy Pearce as the nerd-turned-villain Killian is good; he was a believable nerdy and geeky as the former Killian and suddenly 10 years later becoming the hard-rock nemesis. Must be working out for the role (,”). AND, Gwyneth Paltrow as Pepper Potts – she proves that she still GOT “IT” though she is a mother of two, now with Chris Martin of Coldplay – the hair, the abs, the figure…. Paltrow proves it!
Guy Pearce as villain, Killian. Nice hair. Haha!
I give the film 3.8 stars outta 5. Superb CGIs, star-studded casts & funny comic relieves (I love the scene where Iron Man saved the 13 passengers blown out from Air Force One!) but fragile plot. Still, it’s worth a watch for light entertainment. Go to the cinemas, NOW! (,”)
