It is 9th Zulhijjah. It is the day where Moslems who are doing The Hajj pilgrims in Makkah are about to do the “Wukuf” at the Plain of Arafah. “Wukuf” means to stand or stop; usually from Zuhr of 9th Zulhijjah until the before the dawn of 10th Zulhijjah approaches. It is where millions of Moslems gathering there; a physical imitation to what The Day Of Awakening at the Plain of Mahsyar where all of God’s creations will be assembled there; from the first man created which is Prophet Adam A.S. until the very last generations prior to the Armageddon, Masya ALLAH.
It is encouraged to fast on the 9th Zulhijjah for those who are not performing the Hajj. It was said that by fasting that day, the sins from the previous year and the upcoming year will be terminated as per quoted by Abu Qatadah al-Anshari :-
“Prophet Muhammad SAW was asked about fasting in the day of Arafah? He said : “It compensates the sins for the year before and the year after”. – Hadith Riwayat Muslim.

By taking that, today I’ve performed the fast. Alhamdulillah, although initially it was difficult with the tonsilitis raging (have to take medicine!) and sudden feast of food in the house; I finally made it! Alhamdulillah.
And tomorrow is the Aidiladha 2013. I remembered last year I had experience of celebrating it alone at Putrajaya as Kakak went back to Pahang (her in laws) and my parents were in Makkah performing Hajj. It was no fun. Actually, not really on the melodrama sentimental feeling; it was more of difficulties of finding food as stalls were closed!!! But it was a great experience. It strengthen my mental – in the upcoming years, I will be experiencing it. Have to be bold and high chin to face the day.
