Argh!!!! I just enrolled the subjects that I have already planned to do but one failed to be registered!!! Argh!!!! So, for this Semester 1, I plan to do :
- Communication Theory (3 credits);
- Communication Research Methods (3 credits); -and
- Strategies of Communication (3 credits)
Unfortunately, the class for Strategies of Communication is stated to be FULL!!!! But if one persists to enroll in that course, one can reason with the lecturer/advisor. So, I have already SMS-ed Dr. Nizam and hopefully he will give good response. Huhuhu! And tomorrow is the last day to register free-of-charge; after 16th February, any additional courses will be penalized for RM100! If possible, I want to save unnecessary splurge of money as this journey I am about to embark will cost quite an amount per semester!
For this first semester, registration fee costs RM1,200 AND each of the credits of the subject will cost RM200. According to the plan to complete the whole 40 credits within 2 years, I have slotted that approximately more or less that 10 credits will be slated for each semester. So, for this Semester 1, the whole amount will be :
- RM1,200 + (RM200x9 = RM1,800) = RM3,000
Cash flow. Always. Never remain. Well, well, well.
I know, the question remains – why don’t I apply for any scholarships, right? As far I am concern for Government Civilian, the only channel to gain a scholarship is through Hadiah Latihan Persekutuan/HLP (which is different from the usual one as Ministry of Education has its own scheme; correct me if I am wrong!), right? Well, I heard that with HLP, I will be bind with contract to serve the Government – which is contradictory to my vision for the future; which is to quit the system and try to penetrate the higher learning institutions, God Bless! Now, that is different with Kakak who also went for HLP via her Diplomatic Officer scheme of which she plans to do Master abroad as she remains to stick in her career scheme.
But whatever it is, by hook or crook; this is the sacrifice for a Betterment. In order to gain something, one has to suffer and go extra miles for that. Like what Siti Nurhaliza croons in “Lebih Indah” (I know I keep repeating it but can’t help it! it inspires me!) :-
“Tiada yang mustahil di dunia. Segalanya mampu ditawan. Sejauh manakah kemahuan? Demi ke sana?”
