It is scorching hot here in Malaysia and as I am typing this, my head still throbbing from the heat entrapped in my house although at night, perhaps the weather may be a little bit cooler but opening windows and all still fail to assuage the heat; not to say mosquitoes flying in groups attacking the sweet blood of mine (LOL!). Perhaps, it’s time for me to consider an air-conditioner, of which I thought of putting the installment on halt until my new crib in Tamu Hill Park 4 is fully completed and furnished?
The issue. An issue that can be resolved under the flag for Rakyat is very much turned into sensationalized political sentiments. Cliche Malaysians. *Sad*.
Anyway, the dams in Selangor are extremely in poor state. The level of water in the dams is decreasing dramatically especially for the districts in Hulu Langat and Sepang. I was lucky because Hulu Selangor still have enough water in the dams to accommodate us. NEVERTHELESS, the comfort zone is about to be burst as Selangor State Government decided to come up with an alternative plan to “mitigate” the water disruption by distributing the water in dams and reservoirs with ample water to the areas affected – which mean, water from my Hulu Selangor will be distributed to other affected areas; AND for us, we will experience the water disruption too, as to make way for those who are affected since more than 2 weeks ago!
The water disruption is said to be executed in accordance to the zoning schedule and so happened that Serendah is included under Zone 2. Most of my colleagues said all sorts of big containers or jars or water tanks are all SOLD-OUT with people thronging Batang Kali, Rawang & Bukit Beruntung scouting for these water containers!! As for me since I am living alone, I merely bought 2 water containers and hopefully it will last as well as the house’s water tanks are the sources I am relying upon (but I use quite a lot of water for a single person living in a house!!). Urgh..
Poor Ah So! It could have been me; or will I be like that as well???? Urgh…!
With my meager health, Tonsillitis and financial stress-due-to-Masters ( I haven’t paid RM1,800 for the subject credits!! Tomorrow is the due date! I can’t transfer the money due to CROWD thronging Rawang today and guess what, Batang Kali’s deposit machine went bonkers today!!! Urgh!), I am quite nervous to think about tomorrow. And imagine with all these scorching hot weather, water supply will be terminated for 2 days and then another 2 days, we will be getting back the water supply; so on and so forth until 31st March??!
The water supply disruption plan. 2nd March – 31st March. Serendah will be affected tomorrow!
Anyway, one can’t help but wonder as a plain Rakyat (People); is this the consequences of political egos between two antagonistic parties? Of course all of the MOUs; the black-and-white formalities are masquerades to mask the political games between the two BUT is it fair that almost 2.2 million residents in Klang Valley area will have to bear the wrath just because of political ego and stresses cast upon and by both sides? ( I can hear a distant voice saying “Nothing is fair in this world, darling! Hmmmph!). We are nothing more like marionettes played by the Master Puppeteers. For the rich people, they would not be badly affected – they can always buy some alternative water tanks; or bunk at hotels every now and then; or even fly abroad to avoid this. No problem for them! But for us, the Plain Rakyat?
Serendah is under Zone 2. Commencement is tomorrow!
It is sad to note that actually, there are no REAL SAVIOURS for us. Each candidates and each parties has its own agendas and cronies. We have no choice; but to pick the one with “lesser evil”. The question –
“Why we, the Plain Rakyat had to bear the consequences of this never-ending political games?”
Of course answers will be varied in accordance to his/her affinities towards either the Pros (“It is not us! It is the responsibility of The State Government!) or the Lefties (“Stupid! That’s the payback you’ve got when you voted for The Government!); but for the ones who wear neutral hats like me, we are very much saddened by this. It shouldn’t happen. It can be avoided if both parties think about Rakyat. But both parties refuse to bend down their knees. Both parties put their ambitions more than Rakyat. Unfortunately, both parties put us, The Rakyat down in the abysses.
The perverts in power who keep leading lavish lives, should be ousted.
R.I.P. the Rakyat.
