So, the Oscars’ ballots were already counted; the winners were already unveiled, for this year 2014. Unlike previous years where I dedicated myself into following the string of the awards season, especially when my favourite Oscar contenders were nominated, this year proved to be quite a delusion for me due to other professional commitments. Anyway, hopefully next year when I reside in my crib at Tamu Hill Park (Insya ALLAH), I shall be able to witness The Oscars after a long hiatus and avid dependence with You-Tube! Hahaa!
This year’s Best Picture is “12 Years A Slave” with Pitt as one of the producers. Therefore, Angie was there to grace the Oscar as to accompany Pitt but you know, wherever and whenever she goes, the limelight is always upon her! Haha! This year, Angie wears Elie Saab dress – which is a deviation from her common association with Atelier Versace. And she only did a simple hairdo. I like her simple style. I guess she respected the place that it was supposed to be Brad Pitt’s space for all the limelight as she was just accompanying him. She’s cool.

And, it is so exciting to know that “Frozen” won Best Animated Feature (predicted) and “Let It Go” won Best Original Song after had a lost in Golden Globes! Wow, at last!!!! Save the best for last, more like! I am happy that the inspirational song is being recognized in Tinseltown’s highest honor as I myself had felt the strength orchestrated by the composer and lyricist of the song. The lyrics are really powerful and inspiring for me. Amazing!

And of course; not to mention Ellen deGeneres as the host for this year (I always like her! Damn! I wish I have installed ASTRO! lol!) and she made history with Twitter by setting record “surpassing 1,300,000 retweets in less than an hour” and temporarily sent Twitter shut down, for a while! Hahhaha! Amazing! Love her!
The epic Selfie in Twitter! Ellen deGeneres, you rocked The Oscars!!!!
To wrap it up, I rewrite what I have wrote in my Facebook status dated 30th November 2013 pertaining the song “Let It Go” and what I have write in my blog in the entry dated 2nd December 2013 :-
“I used to be the helpless caterpillar and feeling awkward and gawky with flaws and weaknesses. There were times when I questioned why God makes me with that flaws. But as time goes by, I embrace my weaknesses and learn to love myself inside the cocoon. And now I emerge as a new butterfly and I am exploring the secrets of world flying bit by bit. I know now that the flaws that I used to hate is my uniqueness that draws people towards me. That’s why when I heard the song “Let It Go” in the movie ‘Frozen’ yesterday by Idina Menzel (though musically not really good), the lyrics hit me. Yes, I let go all my flaws and I am proud with myself. I don’t care what people say ” – Shahrill Ramli; 30th November 2013 in Facebook.
