Life is hectic now, YES but of course, I need a breakaway. Luckily, an already planned running event presented itself this weekend on 11th May 2014. So, it was all about the “Larian Bomba 2014” at Merdeka Square, y’all!
My morning face. LOL!
After the running!
On Saturday, it was the Replacement Day for the school, so by right I had to go to school. But I opted to attend the 1st session of Umrah class at Andalusia- of which not a total loss despite the “hit-around-the bush” story-telling of the mediator (I mean, I understand that because he has to give the talk every single week! So, he could be a bit bore. But yeah, that is business. Serve the customer. Haha!) but there were few good points I was able to extract and plus, I finally able to allocate time to read the manual! Yeay!
The crowd thronging!
Then, proceeded with the planned tentative. Luckily we arrived earlier in the afternoon so we could snatch a riverbank carpark just opposite the Jamek Mosque. Around evening, we walked around Jalan Masjid India & Jalan Tunku Abdul Rahman. I love the place. Crowded with so many ordinary people, just like us. The place which has strong affiliation with The Eid really brings the festive mood, you know! Went to SOGO looking for some sports attire (of lately, I became so OBSESS with the sports brands, shoes, track bottoms, etc) and a drama unveiled!
A rare opportunity to walk and run on the road of the usually-superbusy Kuala Lumpur!
The house of Gabungan Pelajar Melayu Semenanjung; if I am not mistaken.
The receptionist claimed that the debit machines couldn’t read my card although she had swapped several times (not just my Maybank; but my Bank Islam & BSN as well!). Hmmm…weird. BUT, when I checked in the ATM, I became hysterical to see that the amount were significantly reduced! Being me, I got panic-attacked and emotional. Conveyed to the matter BUT the response was not as sympathetic as I was expected! So, I just stormed off!!!! Now, to cut the story short, I sort of went roaming around alone circa Jalan Tunku Abdul Rahman, performed Maghrib at Masjid India and nearly attempted to go to KL Sentral to add fuel to the drama (such an ass, I know!). Nearly 2 hours and the drama drew the curtain. Hhahaa, what I am trying to say is that I am such a dramatic person but perseverance and patience will always have special niche in my heart. Thanks for being so patient! I am touched, moved and grateful.
Yeay! On working days, this road is super-congested with vehicles!
So, come today, we went out as early as 6.20 a.m. as the event was scheduled to commence at 6.30 a.m. but then in real time, it was at 7.30 a.m. (as we were waiting for the VIPs arrival. Hmmmph!). Like usual, I am not a competitive runner; just an amateur finding a slot of time within hectic life for the sake of health. I managed to complete the 7 km run (I took the other route), crossing the usually hectic Jalan Duta and bit part of Jalan Mahameru from and back to Merdeka Square. Although considerably slow, but it was cool to alert my body and to grease the rusty sinew.
The unique “Periuk Kera” replica opposite the DBKL building!
Lately, I am into sports attires! As well as the athletes! Wakakakakakak!
Along the way, I met Clementine Chai, Kat’s friend that I knew from all the running events’ circuits that I always joined with Kat before this; and also my Penang Free School’s ex-schoolmate, Bismil Eddi. On whole, a great healthy weekend at the center of the Old Kuala Lumpur, y’all!
Nice, healthy weekend. (,”)
