Alhamdulillah!!!!! This is the good news I have received yesterday and was so excited! My heart thumped when I received it; couldn’t believe it and at the same time nervous as well. With the MERS-CoV epidemic and the visa applications shunned by the Saudi Arabian government, I didn’t put high hope and since the head of clerks in my school, Cik Zain called me saying that his visa applications for Umrah for this coming 3rd June was rejected, I was really opened with the possibility of not getting any visa approval for this journey. In short, Tawakallah.

But alas! I was quite agog and stupefied. Alhamdulillah. Although some were rejected, but Mak & I are among those who have been granted the visa. Subhanallah! Seriously, no words to describe. But I have to confess, I am actually quite nervous, Masya ALLAH!
My Before & After pictures. Frankly I love the shaven head. I don’t have to be fussed with the frizzy hair! Hahaha! And my head is lighter and easier to manage!
So, today I have cut my hair short; in fact the shortest ever that I’ve ever did in my whole entire life. All to prepare myself for the sacred journey and to fulfill the Tahallul criterion.
My first try-out on Ihram. Such beautiful concept of Islam. A simple white cloth to cover your body (without anything threaded underneath the cloth!) is a symbolic submission of yourself to the sacred pilgrim. And to remind us that in the end, only the white cloth is to accompany us to the grave. Masya ALLAH. I had to admit I do feel a bit shivered to wear that for first time.
In the end, it is ALLAH’s plan. God works in the most mysterious way, they say. Everything goes back to ALLAH. It’s the secret, Inalillah. I have to say, again. It is surreal.
The scene in Middle East in “Nurkasih”. Inspiring for me.
