Alhamdulillah! Finally, my effort to go back and fro from from Serendah to Serdang for the past 3 months commencing on February until June 2014 finally paid off. Alhamdulillah! Although my Final Exams schedule clashed with my Umrah, but special thanks to all my lecturers who are lenient to give me chance to sit for the exams after my Umrah. Supposedly, I had to sit Final Exams for “Communication Theory” & “Communication Research Methods” respectively on 10th June 2014 & 11th June 2014 but I was still in Saudi Arabia at that time. I only managed to take “Psychology In Communication” together with my other coursemates on 13th June 2014 as I arrived in Malaysia on 12th June 2014. But still, the JET LAG!
I feel like all these bless are due to Mak’s Doa and also bless from Umrah to Baitullah. I don’t know, my instinct tells me. Subhanallah!
Nevertheless despite the tiring jet-lag, I managed to answer the Final Exams. And Alhamdulillah, to know that I scored a solid “A” for both “Communication Theory” (I did on 17th June 2014) & “Psychology In Communication” were somewhat alleviating BUT I was so shocked to find out that I have managed to score “A-” for the difficult-and-so tough subject “Communication Research Methods”!!!!! I was expecting getting lesser but Alhamdulillah!!! It was the toughest subject as it dealt with quite number of technical methods and numbers AND in order to make myself eligible to do mini research next year, it is compulsory for me to score at least “B+” for this subject as well as another statistical subject I will take next semester!!! Alhamdulillah!
Special thanks to my lecturers for all the guidance and leniency of time flexibility. It is great feeling for a Microbiology Degree holder who is now pursuing what he likes the most (which is social science) and to be able to score, it feels exciting! :-
- “Communication Theory” – Prof. Dr. Md. Salleh bin Hj Hassan;
- “Psychology In Communication” – Prof. Dr. Ezhar bin Tamam;
- “Communication Research Methods” – “Prof. Madya Dr. Abdul Mua’ti @ Zamri Ahmad.
This means so much to me as if I want to pursue PhD, I’ve got to have at least a mini research to make my Master’s Degree valuable and in order to do mini research, Fakulti Bahasa Moden & Komunikasi UPM has made it compulsory THAT student must at least score “B+” for both ‘Communication Research Methods” and statistical analysis subject. This is why, getting “A-” for the subject is like a Cloud 9 for me. Alhamdulillah!
