I felt so touched. My ex-pupils of 5 Dynamic 2013 had organized a so-called surprise birthday celebration for me in spite that my birthday already passed 25 days ago. Awwww, the effort was very much appreciated. Thanks, kids! Sometimes it feels so moved when you see pupils showed you appreciation although you reprimanded them and all; because they knew that you did that out of love and to nurture them to better human being.
The perk of being a teacher is that you’ll be loved by pupils if you can touch their hearts. But in Malaysia, you’ll have to oblige with ridiculous “Saya Menurut Perintah” orders with autocratic policies, do & redo documentations with various format of the same data, multiple databases so on and so forth. BUT, the most demotivating part is of course, the Malaysian parents. Blindly attacking the school and teacher & to the extend of lodging police report only to find that the son/daughter is to be blamed. Now this is why creative teachers are going out from the system. I repeat, creativity drainage is happening and will happen. I sure love imparting knowledge to kids but with “smart-ass” parents who are busy with careers but no time for kids only to believe the children’s cock-and-bull-story; I say…… sayonara! Be patient for a year to come!
Sir appreciates the thought. Thanks so much 5 Dynamic 2013. (,”)
Thanks so much, my pupils. I love y’all. Thanks for showing me how to become a better sympathetic human being by becoming a teacher. The ability to touch hearts is amazing experience.
