This year has been such a sad year for Malaysia. As a nation, we have gone through several fiasco. On March, the world was shocked when MH370 disappeared into thin air WITHOUT any trace at all, leaving Malaysia to face mixed reactions from people all over the world when we know it would be impossible for a plane to SIMPLY VANISH without any radar to detect (REFER to https://undomiel84.wordpress.com/2014/03/08/malaysian-airline-mh370-kuala-lumpur-beijing-disappears-please-prayformh370/ & I have written altogether 17 entries pertaining the MH370 fiasco) ; surely foul plays from the Superpowers of The World are behind it! On top of that, as recent as a few days ago in this Ramadhan, our Sabah East coastline has once again being penetrated by the Bangsamoro guerilla, claiming at least 2 lives of our marine police officers & TODAY as at 18th July 2014, we are once again brutally awaken by the incident of MH17 being shot while flying ABOVE the restricted air space of Ukraine!!!!
Devastating and heart-wrenching seeing the smithereens of the plane MH17 on the ground. We need justice!!
I received the news quite late, circa 4.20 a.m. as I woke up for Suhoor and I checked my telephone. I read the news at The English Panel Whatsapps and my initial thought was that this could possibly simply a hoax. But then, I was so curious that I went to Google online to verify and TO MY HORROR, it was TRUE!!!!!!! My heart sank! How could it be?? After the enormous setback with MH370, another bad incident is smearing our name! I can’t believe it!

According to reports, 295 passengers on board was shot down by the militants (dubbed as Pro-Russian) at eastern Ukraine. Based on http://www.themalaysianinsider.com/malaysia/article/malaysia-airlines-plane-with-295-on-board-crashes-says-report article, the Boeing 777 was flying around the city of Donetsk which is a stronghold area of the Pro-Russian rebels that it was shot down. It was reported that a separatist militia leader named Igor Girkin has issued a statement in Vkontakte (Russian version of Facebook) but then it was since deleted :-
“We have issued warnings not to fly in our airspace. We have video confirming. The bird fell on a waste heap. Residential areas were not hit. Civilians were not injured.”
Igor Girkin, the separatist militia leader.
The statement issued in Vkontakte. It has since, reportedly, deleted by Girkin.
According to the timeline, at at 1.56 a.m., a statement issued by Ukranian President, Petro Poroshenko claimed that the plane was shot due to “terrorist act” and one of the most heart-wrenching report was that as at 12.20 a.m., a Reuters report at the town witnessed burning wreckage and BODIES on the ground!!!! This is so outrageously sad!! At this juncture, discussion is still being held by the “Superpowers of The World”.

The casualties. Ya ALLAH! So sad and ANGRY!
The body and the luggage. Huhuhu….
It is such a sad tragedy for us Malaysians as well as the families of the casualties. Some speculations even came out with the idea that this incident might be a decoy to deviate the world’s attention from focusing to the oppression of Palestinians by Israel. Goodness knows. But whatever it is, JUSTICE must be sought and those who held responsible must be penalized severely!! As I was driving my car to the school this morning, I was listening to Marilyn Monroe’s sombre classic called “River of No Return”. I guess it suits the atmosphere. So sad…….. Al-Fatihah. Inalillah, everyone returns to ALLAH SWT.
There is a river called ‘The river of no return’
Sometimes it’s peaceful and sometimes wild and free
Love is a traveler on ‘The river of no return’
Swept on for ever to be lost in the stormy sea
Wail-a-ree I can hear the river call no return, no return
Where the roarin’ waters fall wail-a-ree
I can hear my lover call come to me, no return, no return
I lost my love on the river and for ever my heart will yearn
Gone gone for ever down ‘The river of no return’
Wail-a-ree, wail-a-re-e-ee, [unverified] never return to me
No return, no return, no return
