As we know, Malaysians are among the heaviest media social networking users, and that includes Yours Truly; right from the age of Friendster, Myspace, Tagged and now the golden era of Facebook. There are benefits and good things one can reap from using these platforms but some setbacks proved to be fatal.
Apparently, a racist blurted out comment! Red Bean Army? Or a fake account?
For instance, The “Arab Spring” movement was ignited via Facebook! And that is no exception among Malaysians, as well. I found out that if there were to be any “mega incidents” happening and while the emotion of Malaysians are going rollercoaster, there would be a few insensitive comments (mostly racism and religion-hatred which are taboo) created and the circulation would definitely spark chaos and hatred among the multiracial Malaysians! Honestly, I feel that these comments are created via FAKE ACCOUNTS just to destabilize the harmony and mostly are POLITICAL DECOYS! You know, Malaysia is about politics these days, be it the Opposition famous cybertroopers named “Red Bean Army” or the Government’s team itself calling the troopers as “Blue Wave” (Gelombang Biru). As a neutral Malaysian, I believe that it is OK if they want to do campaigns during elections, etc BUT do not excessively use that to destabilize the country JUST BECAUSE YOU WANT TO REIGN THE POWER!!! But you know human; the greed for power is unstoppable. *Sigh*
You know, everyone has a bit of racism in him or her but we overpower that by using our BRAIN. Seriously?
Apart from that, we are also famous for being Keyboard Warriors, a term coined for plain people who are so opinionated in voicing out their own speculations and theories about something (mostly to condemn) without thinking much about their harsh words affecting the families of victims. In regards with MH17, some even speculated that it was MAS’s fault as they “shouldn’t take that route since there were already 2 planes shot down”. I am so angry at these type of people! Always try to find faulty in our parts and perceive the outsiders as “high-and-mighty”! Yes, Ukrainian authorities prohibit any planes to enter the airspace of below than 32,000 feet. Now, MH17 was flying on 33,000 feet and that is ABOVE THE RESTRICTED AIRSPACE!!!! Furthermore, the en route used is approved and a common one for flights travelling from Europe to Asia!!! So, it NOT MALAYSIAN AIRLINES’ FAULT!!!! Clearly, this is an “accidental shot” BUT it raises eyebrows as it was reported that a Singapore airline was also cruising circa the area not far from the airspace, and yet MH17 was targeted? Goodness knows.
Dato’ Liow Tiong Lai, Minister of Transportation gave statement in press conference.
There were many theories surface and one of those claim stated that actually, the target was Putin’s airplane which similarly uncanny to MAS plane BUT I was wondering that this theory is quite loose as it was said that allegedly that Pro-Russian militants are the suspect of launching the missile; therefore it is unlikely that Pro-Russian to attack Vladimir Putin, himself? Others claim that this is a diversion from Gaza as the world will deviate the focus to MH17 instead of the oppressed Palestinians. On top of that, it is also claimed that this is a warning by Superpowers to Malaysia as a strategic country in the midst of West-East traffic, on being an ally to either the West blocks (United States) or the Communist blocks (Russia). Could it be that this is another case where Malaysia is the scapegoat, sandwiched between the game of Superpowers of The World.
A Dutch passenger named Cor Pan uploaded picture of MH17, before he boarded. Jokingly referred to the lost MH370, he never knew that his joke would become real. Condolences to his family and friends.
It is heart-wrenching to hear stories about the deceased and their families’ reactions and I found out that there are a few people around me who have deep connection with MH17 casualties; either their friends, families or relatives were in MH17. My deep condolences to all those affected. Inalillah. And the most hair-raising story was on how a Dutch passenger named Cor Pan who took the picture of the MH17 before he boarded it and uploaded in his FB jokingly saying as he was referring to the lost MH370 :-
“Mocht hij verdwijnen , zo ziet hij d’r uit ( If my flight to Malaysia disappears, this is what it looks like)”
A Facebook profile is dedicated for him at https://www.facebook.com/pages/Cor-Pan/661025023987268 and his personal FB which will haunt the lives of his immediate families and friends with the picture is https://www.facebook.com/cor.pan.7. Condolences. We, Malaysians and the whole world DEMAND JUSTICE!!! We know that United Nations is controlled by these Superpowers but the world must speak!! Malaysia is being targeted TWICE this year!
Hopefully, all ends well. Amin.
