Gosh! It’s 1.58 p.m. and I had just finish registering new subjects for the 2nd semester. Why this late? Well like usual, it’s weekend so my social calendar in KL (you know, personal rendezvouses & screeching lungs out Karaokeing!). Anyway, like usual I need to jot down to alleviate whatever I have inside.
Kak Ti, my colleague Whatsapps-ed me the other day, hinting that she might want to compress as many subjects as she could for this semester and the next so she can graduate in the upcoming October 2015; making her merely doing 3 semesters if she succeed! She is aspired to do that and will be taking a few classes that will be held in the morning session! Argh, damn! I feel so inspired and a bit jealous as well! You know I am a Kiasu person so I feel like doing that too!
BUT, when I peruse back the list of compulsory (21 credits) & elective subjects (19 credits); it is quite impossible to compress all of that, especially that I have task to be done as a TEACHER. Well, unless I do full time Masters’ Degree and got nothing to do except attending classes, THEN perhaps I can do that! Arghhhh…I guess I have to cut my Kiasu horns for now and be realistic. I have to admit that I am quite disheartened by that but hey, God works in a mysterious way. There’s gotta be bless in disguise?
God is Great. There’s gotta be bless in disguise!
So, I have registered 4 subjects for this semester, trying to do it as fast as I could as the registration date open today as at 18th August 2014. Why so fast? Because I don’t want to be left out in Professor Dr. Muati’s class! There’s no way I am going to be whisked out just because I am late at registration and I am sure a lot of people would want to enter his class, as well!
4 subjects this semester with 12 credits. And one credit in UPM costs around RM200. Therefore, just for the credits, it is going to be RM200 X 12 = RM2,400 and that doesn’t include the semester fee! *Gasp!* Well, for the future! *Yampui!*
So, bye for now. Tomorrow is Monday; working day commences y’all. On whole, I know I’ve got to weather all these, I can go through this. Inspired by Siti Nurhaliza’s song which is my Master’s Degree anthem “Lebih Indah” :-
“Di sekelilingmu ada dinding-dinding yang menghadangi & menghalangi. Di sekelilingmu ada laut-laut yang menghampari & merintangi. Jiwa serta raga. Cinta juga cita. Kau harungi. Diharunginya. Mengharungi!” (Around you there are walls to stop you & block you. Around you there are oceans to hinder you & dissuade you. The heart and the soul. The passion and ambition. You can go through it. Went through it. To go through it.)
