I rarely write about my cats although they are with me most of the time! So, I think they deserve some spaces in the blog to be immortalized, no? After all if I can etch all the forgettable flirts and entanglement with people who simply cross my life insignificantly, why can’t I dedicate entries for God’s creatures who have been accompanying me, apart from The Good Soul (which of course isn’t living in same house with me, no?), right?
Muezza, before the surgery, at the ripe age of 8 months old.
OK, so 8 months passed since the birth of the 3 kittens by Duchess. And as you all know, 8 month is the age period where cats are beginning to reach puberty and wanting to mate. I have been observing that Muezza and Sagwa began to demonstrate the puberty traits; while Crookshanks with its stunted growth invites less-worry to me (I shall consult with my Vet later!).
The consummation process between Duchess and the father, Stranger Half-Persian. Well, it is all documented in the blog! I feel like a Zoologist! Haha!
I think this was circa 2-3 weeks after given birth.
Muezza, the beautiful female which was conceived between Duchess and the Stranger Half-Persian Cat – well not sure the breed but the fur is fluffy (REFER to https://undomiel84.wordpress.com/2014/01/05/miaow-playing-zoologst-with-pussy-cats-footsteps-of-abu-hurairah-r-a/) – began to twirl and roll and flashing her genitalia. OK, that was the first sign. Since I was quite busy for the past 3 weeks (one whole week was allocated for the CPD Course in KL (REFER to : https://undomiel84.wordpress.com/2014/08/08/great-expectations-malaysian-teachers-the-continuous-professional-development-cpd-course-dg41-ipg-kampus-bahasa-melayu-kl/), I put on halt the idea of neutering Muezza. BUT, last week I saw that a few male cats began to assemble around my house, including Muezza’s long-lost father who emerged after 8 months! Wow, probably due to the hormone sensory, huh??! LOL! Talk about devouring to deflower a virgin! Haha!
Around 1 month.
In order to avoid any unwanted pregnancy, I decided to put Muezza in a cage and only released her once a while after eating the kibbles or meat. But you know cats! The instinct tells them to go out, they will sneak out. So, Muezza sneaked out between the crevices of the jagged window panes of the store and freed herself. Goodness knows what she did outside the house and with the males circumbulate the house! So finally last Tuesday I managed to secure free time and sent her to Vet. The neutering operation was done and on Wednesday, I received SMS from the Vet :-
“Surgeri Muezza selesai. Dia OK. Tapi dia betul-betul miang la. TQ” (Muezza’s surgery already done. She is OK. But she was really on heat. TQ.)
The scars from the operation. It will heal in time, based from Duchess’s experience, I learned.
Hahhahaha! I don’t know whether to laugh or sympathize! So today I took her back and sent Sagwa for the operation (will be updated later). She still demonstrated the ‘nymphomaniac’ attitude; she usually rarely miaowed but now that she already reached puberty, she miaowed quite a lot! But so far, she seemed strong. Muezza, the unique kitty.
Muezza’s picture in my Instagram. Beautiful, she is.
