It is Christmas right here in United Kingdom. Alhamdulillah; I am getting better from my enlarged Tonsils and dehydration. So, I’ve decided to grab my trench-jacket and muffler to venture out Kelso Gardens! I need a fresh change of air.
With the 25th December as the public holiday, the atmosphere was rather idyllic. And with the chilly temperature of 3 Celsius, it really refreshed and rejuvenated my spirit. I walked along the pavement road and up the hill where I saw a park situated. Apparently, it is Woodhouse Moor or affectionately known as Hyde Park by the Leeds locals. I guess it is the botanical garden where people can go having walks or jog (in fact there are some testosterone-kicking guys jogging in the middle of this chilly winter! Eeeeeeks!) and it is not far from Kelso Gardens as well as University of Leeds. I could see Kakak’s School of Business just around the corner; very much like UPM and Seri Serdang township.
It was under these trees I decided to sit down and pondered about it. I am ready. I am willing to take the challenge.
The beautiful panoramic trees to sooth the mind.
There is also a statue erected. It is dedicated to Duke of Wellington (and you know that I am such a historical freak, aite?). It is a subject of vandalism but the majestic stature is somewhat still a grandeur. It was sculpted by Baron Marochetti. He was a dedicated soldier to Sovereign of United Kingdom and served as the Prime Minister in 1828-1830. Marvellous!
Statue of Duke of Wellington. The target of public’s vandalism.
It was a serene place and I’ve got a peaceful mind thinking about my life directions and missions. From afar, I could hear the bells of church rung. It felt as if like an English country-yard scenery. Branches of trees aligned along the pavement walk add to the landscape in a very Tim Burton-ish way; which I really adore! It gives me time to deliberate whether I am ready to take the challenge of being away from my family; my other half – and to venture the challenges of a foreign land, alone?
Just around the corner!
Like a robin; I am on the verge of deliberating my path of life. I have no choice but to valiantly go ahead. Insya ALLAH.
Shades of trees and sunlight. In the chilly 3 Celsius of Leeds afternoon.
I think, I am ready. I am willing. God bless.
