My first entry at my own crib at Tamu Hill Park 4, Batang Kali (squeezing time albeit the limited capacity of Internet!). Finally, I have moved in after scouting it for the first time in 2012 (I saw the advertisement through Internet when I was perusing for house development projects circa Hulu Selangor). The feeling is both indescribable and ethereal, I would say. It is not much as it is not a mansion but I am kinda glad as it is also not that far away from the Klang Valley and I have a property under my belt; and it is not an inherited piece or a gift from parents, like some other rich friends (fortunately, my parents are NOT THAT RICH! lol!) – but from my own blood & sweat! The feeling of obtaining it with your own money – simply ecstasy.
My rent house at Desa Anggerik, Serendah for almost 4 years (2011-2015).
The housing estate was still a plain land when I made my mind to book for the house in 2012. A few people opposed the idea especially Ayah. He is very over-protective of me and even tried to allude me to buy a house in Jitra, Kedah so he could overseeing the housing process for me (he has the best interest at heart) ; and also my own confidante who was a bit skeptical when I told that I wanted to buy a house at Batang Kali. Regardless of the doubts, I followed what I have planned. Looking at the township, I feel like this is a suitable place for me. The ambiance of suburbia isn’t as eminence as per Serendah and on the other hand, it is also not as hectic as Rawang. There are tonnes of Malay food stalls and restaurants, Pizza Hut, KFC, Marrybrown and it is situated en route to Genting Highlands! If I still want to work in Hulu Selangor or perhaps in KL (who knows in the future?), Batang Kali deemed to be a good place for me.
The accumulated paraphernalia for the past 4 years? Much to Mak’s effort. I on the other hand don’t cook. Haha!
The room where “magics happen” a lot. Haha! (,”)
RM 1,200 was given as the “booking fee” and two years were given to Ligamas to erect the house as per the S & P. Along the way, there were a few hiccups – some parts were due to my negligence and some parts were due to Ligamas :-

The empty space. After 4 years. Au revoir, Desa Anggerik!
After 7 months of delay, Ligamas finally gave the key as at March 2015 and of course compensated me (coincidentally, that was the first month that my salary to be deducted for this housing loan and on April the next month, the dreading GST was implemented nationwide! So you could imagine my anxiety on how to balance my monthly ledger!). That was during my 3rd semester in Master’s Degree which proved to be the BUSIEST semester I have had and I also just started my Research Project with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Muati – so there was no way I could squeeze time to move in.
Mak Ngah Ah came all the way from Batu Arang with her “Nasi Lemak” for us (Hahaha!) and we used my cousin, Abang Abi’s lorry. It was BIG and simply just one ride.
Sometimes I got tired when my school colleagues kept asking me – “when am I going to move in?” Of course they meant no harm and it was simply a casual topic to talk ; out of Malay mannerism. They were quite taken aback by my lack of enthusiasm to move-in because “I want to give my full focus on my Master’s Degree”. In addition, Mak and Ayah also were extremely excited and kept quizzing me. But I didn’t want it to be abruptly done. When the time is ripe, I will move-in. Not to rush in to mollify other people. It should be for me and from me, alone (now, does this ring a bell about my principle? I dislike being forced!).
Luckily as a school teacher, I have end-of-year school holidays. Apart from really using it to focus on my Project Paper 100%; I could also squeeze time to move-in. So, finally; here I am. In my very own house in Tamu Hill Park 4, Batang Kali. But of course, I will never forget the rent house in Desa Anggerik, Serendah. It has been such a good shed for me for the past 4 years after the first one at Kampung Seri Serendah (REFER to the entry I wrote when I first moved to Desa Anggerik at https://undomiel84.wordpress.com/2011/10/30/allah%E2%80%99s-omen-a-childlike%E2%80%99s-amen-part-iii-enlightenment-via-a-new-rental-house-parents-unconditional-love/).
Teaser from Tamu Hill. While cleaning the house. Haha!
I was blessed to have such good neighbours such as Kak Nora and Cik Mail who constantly have been somewhat like my sister and brother. And I sure going to miss all their cats (Putih, the fluffy white cat who always waited for me home at late nights from UPM after I gave my cats to my parents!) and all the kitty talks we had. How could I forget Kak Nora who has the genuine love for cats and she was the one who buried my Sagwa (REFER to https://undomiel84.wordpress.com/2014/09/08/au-revoir-mon-chat-goodbye-my-cat-the-sudden-death-of-sagwa/) and also who rushed to find a coconut’s juice to neutralize Muezza’s poison (REFER to https://undomiel84.wordpress.com/2014/09/10/the-dark-kitty-death-september-11th-muezza-poisoned/). Alhamdulillah and thank you Kak for being such a good neighbour.
The house’s compound where the bodies of Muezza, Sagwa and Crookshanks were laid to rest.
On whole, hopefully Tamu Hill Park 4 will be a new wondrous beginning in my life. A memorable ending of 2015, I daresay. Amin, amin, amin. God bless.
