Broga Hill has become a household name lately. A lot of KLites go to Broga Hill because it is located not that far from the KL city centre as well as the beautiful scenery. I became first acquainted with the name in last year as I saw a lot of people hiked the place and the pictures were incredible! The vista landscapes were similarly uncanny to New Zealand’s. And that was when I decided – “Hey, I’ve GOT to set my footsteps there!”
Broga Hill in the small town of Broga in Semenyih, Selangor. It is at the border of Selangor & Negeri Sembilan.
So, I decided to allocate Sunday, January 20th as the day! Pushed off from Putrajaya after Subuh and arrived in Broga approximately arround 7.45 a.m. It is so easy to find; all you have to do is to follow the signboard and it is in the same route to Nottingham University (Malaysian branch). By the time we arrived there, cars were thronging along the road and also the carpark compound provided (with RM2 per entrance! Such easy money for opportunists!). So, off we went up and hiked the famous Broga Hill!
On whole, the hill is of course is much higher in comparison to the ones in FRIM (since I always frequent there!) in Selayang. Initially, the route was across the oil palms estate; and the up to a small jungle and then steep climbing-track up to the hill-ish contours. It was a bit tiring for non-outdoor person like me (gasping for breath and feet shaken because they were suddenly forced!) BUT it was all worthy! The view was picturesque! Subhanallah! Witnessing the panaromic view, with the golden ray of sunrise perched onto the pasture of grasses and lallangs, I have to say it was ethereal.
It’s amazing to see that there are a lot of people there although it was still quite morning the weekend!
Sunrise behind the shadow of leaves.
It’s Vitamin D – morning sunlight! Hahaha!
I felt so nice because I have accomplished this mission. As per my 2013 new year resolution, I want to explore new places and destinations. Human aspire, but ALLAH SWT transpire, no?
Broga Hill, a must-see place!
You know, we have everything in Malaysia. Truly Asia, my homeland. I love Malaysia!
